Trigger warnings – yes or no?

So there’s a lot of talk out in book world about trigger warnings and whether authors should use them. We have always chosen not to, even though we understand that some readers like them and by not having them, we risk putting some people off.

So why don’t we use them? There’s not a simple answer for this and it’s probably a combination of several factors. One of them is us not wanting to put any pre-conceived ideas into the reader’s head about any of our books before they’ve even turned to the first page. Another is that we think long and hard about our storylines and what we chose to include in them. We never, ever put a trigger topic in just for shock value. Everything you read in our books has a purpose and a point and we aren’t trying to do anything other than tell the story we’ve created together. Also, we firmly believe in writing about realistic and relatable topics, things you may be talking about with your friends or seeing reported about on the TV. Yes, we know reading is an escape for many, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it real and unfortunately, sometimes in life, shit gets real.

You’re probably wondering why we’re bringing this up, especially given we’re about to release Adam & Mila’s duet, Tempt Me and Trust Me. Well, in short, we’re letting you know that there may be some things in this duet that not everyone is comfortable talking about. Does that mean it needs a trigger warning? We don’t think so, but we fully understand that some people might think differently. Please be rest assured that nothing is written to be offensive or off-putting, nor is it done in any detail.

We hope you can go into these books in the same way you’ve gone into all our books, with excitement and trust that we are going to give you a story worth reading. Plus, while Adam and Mila’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful, it’s also so much more than that. It’s a story about healing and growth, about facing your past and becoming stronger because of that. And of course, it’s about love and finding that person who just gets you. You really don’t want to miss this! These two are truly swoon-worthy 💛💛💛

One month to go!! I back her up against the tile One month to go!!

I back her up against the tile as I crush my mouth to hers in a deep kiss, our teeth and tongues colliding as a raw hunger takes over. My hands grip her hips as I press my body against hers, want coursing through me. Doesn’t matter how many times we do this; I can never get enough of her. I’ve never wanted anyone like I want Sloane, and sometimes I still can’t believe that she’s all mine.

“Owen’s hand wraps around my throat, squeezing gently, his mouth next to my ear as he whispers, “I think you like it rough, but I want to treat you like glass, baby.”
“I won’t break, Owen,” I murmur back, my words coming out on a breathy exhale, that desperation I’ve felt all weekend returning.

His hand moves from my thigh to my wrist, grabbing it, he pulls me up from the chair. Without words, I’m following him away from the crowd and down a hallway. Neither of us speaks, and when he comes to a room far enough away, he punches in a code. The door opens to a storage room filled with shelves loaded down with cleaning supplies and towels, a stationary sink in the corner for filling buckets. Shoving the door closed behind us, he backs me up against it, his body flush with mine. Our chests are heaving, heat radiating between us.

Whoa…it’s getting hot in here! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

“Sloane, jesus,” I groan, kissing her, our tongues tangling together as I grind against her, desperate to be inside her but also wanting to wait because this is a moment I’ve been dreaming of forever. A moment I don’t want to rush or forget. Ever. “I want you so fucking bad.”

“I need you,” she says, her words a plea, begging me almost.

I lift my head, our eyes meeting. “Fuck, I need you too,” I whisper.

She smiles up at me, her hands on my chest as they slide down my stomach to my dick. She curls one of them around me, her grip firm.

“You are so hard,” she says.

His other hand toys with the hem of my dress, and when he doesn’t move, I pull my dress up, slipping it over my head and tossing it to the side, leaving myself in just my bra and underwear. “Sloane,” Owen rasps, a question to my name, and I nod, telling him I want him too.
